Draft Noise Compatibility Program Public Comment Period and Public Hearing

Centennial Airport has published its Draft Noise Compatibility Program (NCP), prepared as part of the Airport's 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 150 Noise Compatibility Study. The Draft NCP identifies measures intended to address aircraft noise and promote compatible land uses around Centennial Airport based on the FAA-accepted Noise Exposure Maps developed during the Part 150 Study.

The Draft NCP is available for public review and comment from September 28, 2026, through November 7, 2026, at the following locations:

  • Centennial Airport Administration Office – Front Desk (7565 South Peoria Street, Englewood, CO 80112) from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday

Interested persons are invited to review the Draft NCP and submit comments during the public review period. Written comments must be received no later than November 7, 2026, and may be submitted:

Centennial Airport will hold its fourth Part 150 Study public open house in conjunction with a public hearing on the Draft NCP on:

4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. – brief presentation at 5:00 p.m. with public hearing to follow

The purpose of the open house and public hearing is to provide information regarding the Draft Noise Compatibility Program and to receive public comments prior to submittal of the final NCP to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for review and approval of the NCP measures. The public hearing portion of the event will provide an opportunity for individuals to offer oral testimony for the official record. Written comments may also be submitted. All oral testimony and written comments received during the public comment period will be included in the Final Part 150 Study. Before including your address, phone number, e-mail address, or other personal identifying information in your comment, be advised that your entire comment – including your personal identifying information – may be made publicly available.

The Part 150 Study is being conducted to identify and evaluate measures that address existing and future aircraft noise exposure and improve compatibility between airport operations and surrounding land uses. The goal of the Study is to reduce the number of people affected by aircraft noise. The Draft NCP was developed with input from community members, local jurisdictions, airport stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
