Mike Fronapfel, Centennial Airport CEO/Executive Director, received the Airport Executive Partnership Award by the National Air Transportation Association at their annual convention in Long Beach, California.
Fronapfel earned the honors for leading the airport's introduction of UL94 Unleaded Aviation Fuel, which jetCenters of Colorado began selling on May 3. Under his leadership, the airport is reimbursing based aircraft up to $1110 for obtaining their Supplemental Type Certificates as well as supplementing the end cost of the fuel to the user so that it matches the market price of 100LL.
The NATA Airport Executive Partnership Award recognizes an airport manager for his or her outstanding efforts to foster relationships between aviation businesses and airport operators. Recipients of the award must illustrate leadership in the “partnership” between airport operators and airport tenants. For more information on the award, click here.
