Runway Closures for PCI Inspection

RUNWAY 17R/35L CLOSED SUNDAY, 06/15/08 FROM 1000 MDT TO 1200 MDT

The Division of Aeronautics will be at Centennial Airport this weekend (June 14th and 15th) collecting data for the Pavement Condition Index (PCI). PCI data identifies and categorizes the various kinds of pavement wear and makes recommendations for an appropriate maintenance program. This helps determine how to assure the longterm life of airfield pavements and plan for capital improvement programs along with obtaining FAA Airport Improvement Program and Colorado State grants.

Saturday the 14th, inspection will begin on the ramps and taxiways around 0800 MDT. During this part of the inspection, portions of the ramp and taxiways. Please check local NOTAMS and ATIS for current information.

The runway closures are scheduled for Sunday the 15th (weather permitting).
