Enhanced Taxiway Centerline

The Arapahoe County Public Airport Authority is completing the annual re-painting of runway and taxiway markings. As part of this year's project, the taxiway centerline markings leading up to a runway's hold short marking are being painted in accordance with Advisory Circular 150/5340-1J.

The new centerline, called enhanced taxiway centerline, is designed to alert pilots that they are approaching a runway holding position.

Description of the modified taxiway centerline:

- Dashed yellow lines are placed on both sides of the taxiway centerline.
- The modified centerline will be implemented approximately 150 feet prior to the runway holding position marking.

The FAA has published a brochure to help explain the enhanced taxiway centerline. An Adobe Acrobat copy may be downloaded on the FAA's web site: What happened to that centerline??
